Notes
Notes
1
The tune comes from a set of tunes that Haydn wrote for a musical clock.
2
In each turn, dancers are involved only with their (current) partner and those of their own gender. Moreover, throughout the dance, there is strict parity of importance between the genders, ie in each turn each gender leads each of the sections alternately, and the roles are reversed in succesive turns. Vive la différence!
