Michael Barraclough says: This is one of the few dances in the "Playford" Dancing Masters that is explicitly explicitly stated to be improper ("the 1st man stand on the 1st woman side) but Ken Sheffield has chosen to make the dance proper. He has also condensed a triple minor dance into a duple minor dance and used multiple figures (double figure of eigth and gates) that did not exisit at this time.
