Michael Barraclough says: This is the only two-part dance that I am aware of that has each part displayed and indexed separately. Ken Sheffield has chosen to alternate the two parts. Historical evidence suggests that dancers would either have done the first part (completely) followed by the 2nd part (completely) or just the first part or the 2nd part. There is no evidence at all for dancers intermingling the parts.
