The tune is All In A Garden Green from Playford's Dancing Master, 1st edition, 1651.

Charles says "I have always loved this tune, and wrote this dance specially for it. Cecil Sharp used it for his version of 'The Maid In The Moon'. The original, more suitable tune is the one also used for 'Valentine's Day (Dancing Master, 4th edition, 1670).
