Notes
Notes
1
Originally a triple minor.
2
Copied by Jeremiah Brown in his c1782 Ms in Massachusets, USA, but called “Away To Camps”.
3
The tune is not recorded, but My Wife’s A Wee Wanton Thing is suggested. Whilst originally published as “Bride Next” by Henry Playford in 1700, was still regularly being published, including in Aird’s Selection of Scotch, English, Irish and Foreign Airs, vol. 1, 1782, and Wilson’s Companion To The Ballroom, 1816
