Notes
Notes
1
Six times through the dance gets everyone home. In alternate turns either the top and bottom couple or the middle couple are improper.
2
The contra corners always has the middle couple active and the turns o9n the corners are same-gender turns. At the end of the contra corners, the middle couple balance & swing in the center while the outside four people can make 4 optional changes of right & left through, starting with the opposite, around the set back to place.
3
In the 3 ladies chain, men assist the ladyt on the right into the chai, let one more lady pass by and take out the next (who was their corner at the start of each 3 ladies chain) as in a regular ladies chain.
4
This dance is geographically challenging. It is seriously recommended that a rehearsed group should demonstrate the dance.
5
Written 18 Mar 2009 and first performed that day at the Baltimore Contra. Subsequently I swapped B1 and B2.
